Autonomous Vehicle Radar: Improving Radar Performance with Simulation
This 60-minute webinar describes the use of advanced engineering simulation in assessing the performance of an automotive radar behind various fascia designs. Finite element electromagnetic simulation is used to compute fields over a Huygens surface that encloses an automotive radar. These fields are then used as the antenna source in a shooting and bouncing ray simulation that assesses the impact of the car fascia on the radar's performance. A detailed case study is also presented.
